People who liked a post and GRAVATAR

I was flattered and amazed when several readers liked one of my posts. (See jansmatters.com, THOUGHTS, The Rivers of Babylon)

When I clicked on the box that was the person’s link, I thought I’d be taken to their WORDPRESS website. To my surprise, instead I was taken to something called GRAVATAR.

What I’ve learned is that to protect user’s privacy, WORDPRESS allows each user to update their WORDPRESS site PROFILE with information that will be shared on GRAVATAR when you like another person’s blog entry or web site.

So, I’ve updated my PROFILE now to include what information I would like them to see. I believe GRAVATAR has a lot more capability than I’m using at this time, but for sake of expediency, that will have to do for now.
